One or two ebooks - advice needed

Discussion in 'Electronic Publishing' started by Thommy, Jan 3, 2020.

    Hi

I'm writing a non-fiction ebook and will also sell it as a hardcopy book.
    My first book ever :)
It's a howto/tips/tricks book about image post processing including 150 specific tips & tricks.
The book will probably end up with 300 pages and 40000 words.

    What would you recommend?
Two ebooks and hardcopies as a serie - part 1 and part 2 or maybe a second edition later?
    75 specific tips & tricks + 75 specific tips & tricks.

    Appreciate all comments and suggestions

i'd go for a single book i think - if you want to sell print copies 20k is a bit short to have a viable spine...

I dunno, if the full book is 300 pages, each individual one will likely be 160-ish with stuff like contents etc. That sounds thick enough to reasonably bind.

20k words would definitely be too short if it was a novel, but from the description I'm guessing there's a lot of imagery involved. One tip per page plus diagrams, maybe.
