    • Keep it PG: No sex or erotic scenes (Your characters are kids!). Please note that occasional swearing is fine.
    • Try to stay active: Please try to stay commited. Daily posts are encouraged! The limit is one week to post something. If you're really busy and are gonna be gone for longer, PM me to let me know and we'll settle things out for your character until you come back.
    • 1 Character Per Player: Each player can only control 1 character. A change in character at any time in the story is alright. PM me if you wanna change and we'll sort things out.

    Background Information:

    Setting:
    The story is set in 4014, on the campus of Seal Bay International Academy, a prestigious boarding school in the floating megacity of New Iris located in the Atlantic Ocean. Our story really starts in the Barracks, a dormitory set aside for cadets on SBIA's War Theatre team.

    ~~~
    War Theatre: The Game and How It Works:
    War Theatre is essentially - to put it simply - a massive LARP game.
    Cadets play soldiers on a massive battlefield, either on land, sea or air. I'll try to keep this easy to understand.
    Infantry, Navy and Air Force: The Three Main Branches
    War Theatre is based on actual militaries, with cadets being grouped into 3 basic branches: Infantry, Navy and Air Force. Like their real life counterparts, the cadets in these 3 branches are trained in combat on land, on the sea and in the air, respectively. You'll experience the training for either of those three depending on which you join!
    Team Hierarchy:
    In the 3 branches of every War Theatre team, strict hierarchies are formed. Every branch is led by a single Head Commander, who serves as a mentor and is always an adult with adequate training for the role. Beneath the Head Commander are the Student Officers, experienced cadets who are responsible for leading and training individual units in the 3 branches.
    The Rules For War Theatre:
    Like every game, War Theatre has rules. They are intended to make the game fair and fun for all sides of the simulated conflict:
    The Actual Rules:
    1. Blood must not be shed in any form. All activities must cease if one or more cadets on ANY side of the simulated conflict is actually physically injured.
    2. No hostage-taking is allowed. All attempts at this will be rightfully stopped by the authorities and any hostage-takers involved will face dire consequences.
    3. Secret alliances are strictly prohibited. Teams are not allowed to become allies unless a public statement is posted to all sides involved.
    4. Once a cadet is counted as Dead, they are out for the rest of the game.
    5. ALL CADETS must wear their issued Combat Skins** in all matches and training sessions.
    **What is a Combat Skin?
    A Combat Skin is a thin, transparent, skin-tight bodysuit made of a technologically-altered carbon compound that protects them from getting injured. These suits realistically simulate the pain of injuries received by the wearer in a match. If the cadet is Killed in the game, the suit stiffens up and paralyzes them, forcing them to fall over in order to simulate death. In this state, cadets can only blink and breathe but do nothing else and are out for the rest of the match.
    Weapons:
    The weapons used in War Theatre are designed to only be used on the battlefield or in training. If used outside the game, these weapons may potentially hurt someone who is not wearing a Combat Skin. It is the responsibility of the cadet to practice safe weapon handling.
    When necessary, armored vehicles and machines made for the sport will be used in combat.
    This is my guy. Please let me know if he has some issues so I can iron them out before the games begin. Looking forward to it!
    Name:
    Benny Van Buren
    Age: 16
    Nationality: USA
    Branch: Army
    Appearance: Benny stands at six feet tall and has since the seventh grade. Formerly just tall and lanky, his running practice outside of his intense drills in War Theatre have given him at least a medium build and lot lung capacity; a quality he has found particularly useful in the games. His brown hair is cut short, faded at the sides like any military boot. He has blue eyes and typically goes about his day in athletic shirts and shorts, even when he doesn’t plan on training. He consistently wears a pink bracelet that was his sisters on his right hand.
    Bio: Benny was an avid watcher of the games with his father before the accident that killed his mother and sister. His father would talk strategy during the entirety of the battle and Benny would never interrupt. After their deaths, the broken boy sunk into the war games as a player, making every success and every victory for their memory. His father, Daniel, was certainly not one to stop him. Daniel was a force to be reckoned with in the War Theatre some years prior, but had since left as the competition got more intense and younger. But under his father’s direction, Benny has become his own sort of monster.
    His skills in battle don’t revolve around feats of strength or precision and quickness, they involve communication and strategy. Of all studies at school that Benny took with, he found history to be the most interesting. Of course, like any young historian involved in the games, war history most of all. Besides practicing it out in the War Theatre with functional movements, Benny had an obsession with putting actual strategy into the mix. From Breckenridge to Mattis, he loved to see the sand tables play out of the battle recreations on his viewer at home. It was his version of quality entertainment. Though he’s found a few players willing to try some of his schemes, with moderate success, most blow him off with a more personal style. There’s few things he could want more than a solid position of command in the War Theatre regarding the army. The dream is only bested by that of getting his sister back. But this dream he knows could possibly come true.
    Personality: Though he trains at levels beyond his age, Benny is an easy-going kid. He had put most of his rage into the games early on after the family deaths, but now found a sort of calm in playing them. There’s no doubt he desires to win, but he’s become more interested in seeing specific plays turn out. He’s sometimes seems a bit reckless, but always has a plan.
    He does, however, take offense from others ignoring him, and as a kid unable to find consolation in his sister like he used to, he instead falls into bouts of depression about his self-worth. He wants to be a value to a team, but knows he’s generally beat out in a one-on-one against most players. He’ll rarely forfeit, but sometimes he’ll break down and sit out as he needs to face the problems alone.
    The War Theatre encompasses his life, and yet, deep down he just wants his sister back and wishes he had someone more personal to talk to.
    @EFMingo - Hey! Glad you could join! Your character sheet is great, but just to clarify, Benny has never played in War Theatre until now?
    Ok, so he is already in the team prior to the story?
    Edit: I forgot to ask, but can I know more about his student life? How did he get to Seal Bay? Was he transferred?
