I am definitely now on this website

Hi, I try to write a pretty wide range of things, but there's probably a few common things between it all.
Usually religious themes and imagery, paired with at least some level of dark humor.
Right now I'm also trying my hand at poetry, which I'm very bad (worse than usual) at, but that's why we practice.
I think I've got some half decent writing advice, grammar not quite as much.
But I'm here to get writing advice as much as I'm here to give it, at least if I can work myself up to it.

I also read pretty eclectically. Sorry if I forget to update the "currently reading" part, but I don't think anyone is keeping track. It's mostly stuff by "postmodern" authors along with history and philosophy, but I'm never above some good old comics/manga, sci-fi or fantasy. Really, I just read whatever looks good at a pretty quick rate.

This seems like a very nice forum, and I'm glad I found it, even if I kind of forget exactly how I did.
I honestly kind of prefer smaller forums like this to larger social media, it's kind of a coin flip but they're usually a lot calmer :read:

Off topic, but I love these emoticons :fight::write::superagree::)o_O:eek::D
Double off topic, my tea is getting cold.

Welcome aboard Dagon. I see from your username that we have at least a little in common, reading-wise.

Now, I personally have a really hard time getting poetry when I read it, but this forum has a dedicated group of poeticians (one of my students of English coined the word and I like it) who have a regular poetry contest going. Chuck something into the game and if enough people like it better than the rest you'll get a cool little badge under your avatar.

The badge I'll never, ever earn :)

But even if you don't, you'll be able to read some good stuff and once you've met your requirements, you'll be able to post work for critique.

    Have fun!
