Hey, welcome! I'm not that young, but definitively new about writing properly a story, and is amazing you have set that cool objectives. I wish you the best of luck on that pursuit. It would be nice to know which are your favorite styles and narrative genders. Also I encourage you to post a critic when you can, and read other people's critics on the workshop... that has helped me a lot on my own projects (considering that I speak Spanish-Castellano, and not English)! What matters is that you participate, and give your perspective to help other writers on your favorite genders, even if it's a personal preference or subjective comment: it's valuable.
