Good morning (at the time of this posting) everybody. I'm an aspiring writer I guess you could say, with nothing publicly submitted (well, there was one submission a few days ago, but I'll leave that for later), but I do have a few ideas running around in my head. A few years ago, I took a creative writing course on Coursera (don't laugh, it was an OK class, and it was inexpensive) because I was bored. I think I did OK, and I kind of enjoyed it. I really had no plans on what to do afterwards, but now and then I'd get to thinking about how much fun I had during the exercises. It was during those infrequent thoughts that I came up with a few ideas, and I think I'm ready to take the next step to getting those story ideas close to a reality. My main goal here is to try and hone my writing and editing skills, and see if I really do have what it takes to write a good book or two. I'm getting on in years, I'll be 61 next month, so I'm hoping I'm not starting too late in life. I'm looking forward to interacting with others, taking part in the contests, critiquing your works and receiving critiques on my own.
