    Howdy!

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by LoreS, Nov 28, 2006.

Many greetings from up here in Big Sky country! It truly is chilly outside as it's about -10 with a wind chill of about -27 , well according to the weather channel desktop anywhoo, all I know is that it's colder than an ice cream bar stuck in North Dakota in January!
Yet, it is nice an toasty in here by the heater, with a hot cup of coffee, a fleece throw on my lap, fuzzy warm socks and a fairly heavy robe on; but I'm happy to be here! I'm thankful for the opportunity to learn more from folks all around the country! And, I'm really thankful for this nice, hot cup of coffee.

I'd personally prefer a nice hot cup of hot chocolate, but warm liquid on a chilly day is wonderful. Welcome to the forum!

welcome to WF and hope you have a very pleasent stay here and post heaps.

i must be the freakest person in the entire world, i choose an ice cold cup of water over any hot beverage anyday, cold or otherwise. And i know what you mean by the cold, im from australia and have just experienced by first Canadian winter...system shock!!

    Sorry...

No, I am from Montana. Although I'm sure that ND has "Big Skies" as well.

    Marshmellows...

I agree, roasted marshmallows are quite wonderful! I also enjoy an occasional cup of hot chocolate, roasted marshmallows and perhaps even the combo-mocha!

Yet, isn't it grand that here in the middle of a place full of those who lack many things we can sit here in -20 degrees in comfort?

By the way, to answer your question, I enjoy all manner of writing. I haven't quite mastered the discipline that it takes to consider a "novel" but perhaps someday. I would however like to write a book, actually I have a couple in mind, but, at the right time, in the right circumstances......we'll see...

Thank you very much all, you are making me feel very welcome!

I'm a hot chocolate man as well. I once saw a documentary on Butte, Montana. I thought it was going to be the worst 2 hours of my life BUT then it ended up being one of the most fascinating documentaries I've seen. Here here for the land of no speed limits and endless skyscapes. Welcome to WF!
