Hello from a very cold and blustry England. I'm on your sister site, writingforums.com, and thought I'd come say hi over here. I have the same name and avatar on both sites. I've been writing fanfiction since 2011, though I deleted all my old stories as I'm a different person now. I am writing original stories now. Romance is my go to genre, but also fantasy and historical. I do not write or read (or watch) horror or anything with a lot of violence in it. I look forward to meeting you all properly.
Welcome Moon Child! How nice to see you over here. As you can see, I use the same name and avatar, too.
Oh, hello! I've seen you on the .com site but we've never interacted. Probably because I'm in the LM corner 95% of the time. There's always something nice about seeing familiar faces. Anyway, it is a nice place here. We have short story contests that allow a max of 5000 words. Aside from that, the community is really supportive and friendly with has lots of discussion boards. Hope you enjoy your time here. You'll see me mostly on the contests and workshop, but I do pop up in discussions occasionally.
Hey *waves* I have seen you around, but nope we've not spoken before. I like it here, it's very different from .com but in a complimentary way. I look forward to sharing work. I've been reading some stories on here
For sharing stories, the structure is identical as .com I think. The Showcase board is for complete stories that aren't allowed to receive critique, and the workshop is for incomplete stories that do get critique. But of course, you can put very refined stories in the workshop too if you want a few extra pair of eyes to help you. The only difference is that in our workshop, you need to give two critiques before you post your own work. It's a 2-for-1 rule. But this doesn't apply to the Showcase board. I don't think I've happened to read something of yours so I do hope you share something sometime!
Thank you, love. I did read the rules before even introducing myself on here . I have left a couple of critiques, but not sure if they count as weren't really in depth. I posted one on .com last night in the workshop. You're welcome to read it
A lot of people don't believe it or not, so it's always worth mentioning. I have not been to either workshop for a while but why not? I'll leave you a review once I finish working on my LM entry for this month
Hi there, hello. I used to go by Moonchild myself. But it was an Iron Maiden reference that didn't catch on.
I never knew Moon child and the Cancer sign were associated. But it makes sense. I'm Cancer as well, figures I would hang up my identity on the song. ;o)
