    Hello fellow writers!

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by MichaelK, Jul 3, 2021.

I'm looking forward to connecting with everyone and maturing as an author with your help! I am mainly focused on the children/YA genre with one book under my belt so far and working on its sequel.

Welcome to the forums, Michael! Is your book out? If so, chuck the link here. I'm always interested to see what other forum members have out.

Maybe you don't want to mature too much then... might be hard to connect with that young adult spirit if you do. One nice thing about being a YA author, we manage to stay in touch with the inner child, source of joy and magic. Too much 'maturity' can kill that dead!!

But I totally understand what you mean—it's different. Maturing as a writer doesn't mean losing touch with the joyful and innocent parts of your soul. Always hold on to those if you can.
