Maybe you don't want to mature too much then... might be hard to connect with that young adult spirit if you do. One nice thing about being a YA author, we manage to stay in touch with the inner child, source of joy and magic. Too much 'maturity' can kill that dead!! But I totally understand what you mean—it's different. Maturing as a writer doesn't mean losing touch with the joyful and innocent parts of your soul. Always hold on to those if you can.
