Hey guys, I wanted to say hi, and thank you for welcoming me here. I'm a full-time writer, finishing up my second novel now. My first book will be published by an indie press next summer. My second book caught the attention of a target agent I queried for the first book, so fingers crossed she gets what she wants, and I can go trad with that one next year too. That's about it, hope you are all crushing your writing goals. I think I'll enter next month's short story contest. Looks like fun. See you there!
Hi @Alveraz, and welcome to the forum! Congrats on finishing the first work and the burgeoning agent rep, and, yeah, do get involved in the competitions -- it's a great way of stimulating your imagination and getting any votes from fellow writers feels good!
Thanks, Hammer. I'm considering a short story collection for my third book, so this seems like a great way to get some practice on the craft. I just started one for July's contest, and it's such a different beast. We'll see how it goes. Take care.
