I've been missing a lot of sleep doing a trial. My daughter woke me to ask me if she could go on my Amazon account and use my debit card to buy people Christmas presents. It seemed logical that the next step was for her to kill me. I was freaked out and it took me awhile to calm down.
Sounds like the beginning of a good story. If this is real, however, and you're getting other weird or extraordinary thoughts, I would urge you to seek aid from your healthcare system as it might be the early stages of psychosis (or right in the middle of one), which is a nasty beast to deal with. Lack of sleep can certainly cause some crazy things to happen.
Some of the best writing can be derived from a psychotic state. Depending upon how much one is to stigmatize such a term.
When I was in hospital at the end of last month, I woke up one night and saw, quite clearly, some sort of mechanical frame moving up and down at the end of my bed. My crutch was caught in the bottom of it, and so it was going up and down with it. I stared at it. I blinked. It was still there. I stared at it for, oh I don't know, a few more seconds, blinked a few more times until it finally vanished. I called a nurse immediately, as I was worried I might be delirious. I was told it was probably due to too much oxycodone (a mix of morphine and codeine) that I'd been given after my amputation. I came off that shit straight away.
Be careful. Some guy in New York let his six year old play some games on his phone, and the kid managed to order $600 worth of ice cream.
I've had sleep now and I feel better. It was weird what happened to me this morning. Sleep deprivation is a real thing to be careful of.
