Discussion in 'Word Mechanics' started by WritingNoob, Jun 5, 2010.

hey guys, i'm looking for a word to use instead of 'half done'. example would be "I always do things the best way i can. i never do them half-arsed or half-done." what's another word i can use instead of 'half done' and 'half arsed'?

I always do things the best way I can; I never leave them incomplete.

or if you want to keep 'do them' ....

I always do things the best way i can. i do them all the way through.

'do' them 'half-done' isn't very good grammar and doesn't read well... so to just substitute another word in that formation wouldn't be a good idea, imo... i'd suggest forming a completely different sentence...

there is the cliche, 'i never do things half-way' of course, but it's a tired old one...
