    group story

Discussion in 'Character Development' started by katina, Jul 22, 2018.

If we were to write a story together
    1) which character would you be?
    and
    2) how would you introduce yourself to the story?

No specific topic to what the story is about yet but may start to develop as the characters evolve.

This is very open ended. 'Which' implies there's a choice of characters to pick from, and if we don't know what the story line or even a hint of what the story is we're walking in the dark. Perhaps elaborate some more?

I'm considering my magnum opus to be a collaborative project, as I have a short attention span. Though the site has a rule saying I have to be active for two weeks and give two posts of other people's story first. (I just joined Saturday)

I wouldn't base a collaborative story on just characters we play, but events. Though it really depends. I'm not sure how developed your story is, but with mine in particular, I have a solid idea but need others to help execute those ideas for me. I have a map of events I'd like to take place, but its just a matter of getting it on paper.

What's the genre that your thinking? My stories are always geared towards Fantasy, action and adventure, maybe Sci-fi!

    oh boy, I'm not sure.
    • Set in the future, global warming has gotten worse and people have become cyborgs as their attempts to further the life of their body resorts to just replacing body parts with technological parts. But, as sea levels rise, the earth heats up, and continents are shrinking, cyborg people are malfunctioning because of their inability to adapt to the rapidly changing environment. The focus on technology has now shifted to surviving and cyborgs are going after other cyborg's parts and normal people's body parts in an attempt to last a little longer.
That's not meant to be taken in whole, I just kinda threw up all the ideas in my head and made a pathetic attempt to tie them together. Also I feel like it's not quite Sci-fi enough. But it's a good starting point.
