Oh no... If I ever start writing it, does this mean I'll have to have Mary Berry guest-star on Martha Stewart's new show?

It would be in keeping with the theme, but she just seems so nice that it would be a crime to involve her...

She's adorable and yet... were I to learn she had a secret life with MI6, was able to pilot a MIG-29, and had a thing for leather and riding crops, none of it would really surprise. ;)

I think that's what's confusing me. I'm sure it's somewhere south Asia, but where exactly I have no clue.

You could narrow it down to these countries: India, Bhutan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Mauritius, Maldives and Indonesia.

    Dad: "Use his Spider Sense."
Me: "He doesn't --" Then I couldn't come up with a valid answer as to how Eagle Vision isn't like Spider-Man's spidey sense.

Maybe there is something in the power of thought after all. The 'long-gone' friend who featured in my last poem reminiscing about childhood adventures, turned up on my doorstep yesterday

It was a whole bunch of things related to the typhoon. Rain, landslide, wind, the usual suspects. Typhoon was a bust though, not even worthy of the name.

Because typhoon! Because something interesting was threatening to happen. The end of all civilization for a month or a week or a few hours. Because, to plagiarize paraphrase the immortal Herman Melville, from his least-regarded and most likely to be forgotten little book, I feel the need to drive off the spleen and regulate the circulation. I find myself growing grim about the mouth; it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; I find myself involuntarily pausing before coffin warehouses, and bringing up the rear of every funeral I meet; and especially my hypos have gotten such an upper hand of me that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people's hats off- I account it high time to get to sea as soon as I can. This is my substitute for pistol and ball. With a philosophical flourish Cato throws himself upon his sword; I quietly take to the ship. There is nothing surprising in this. If they but knew it, almost all men in their degree, some time or other, cherish very nearly the same feelings towards the ocean with me.

But I'm married with responsibilities, so that's no longer an option. The sea must come to me.
