My "Not-Grandma" grandma (Chinese friends grandmother) met Ylfa today. Annnnd this happened,

Grandma: "So where she been all this time? You hide her, Moon?"

Me: "No, granny. She's just very....Danish. It took me four years just to be considered a good friend"

Grandma: "Ah, that is very smart. Since you are a moron, make sure you stick with her. Have many children."

Also Grandma in front of Ylfa: "Now you can cheat on her with the men you used to tell me you actually liked." *Rubs her chin whilst smirking like the female Sun Tzu*

    That took some explaining..... :p

Legit plants growing out of the back of a truck. My secretary told us that one of her neighbors has a popcorn tree growing out of his truck because he's never moved it. The resilience of nature never ceases to amaze me.

Happy Friday all! Doing some writing and attempting to develop some worldbuilding in the expositions. I’m a slow learner, but I’m getting there. Thirteen (somewhat incomplete chapters) in, but better than no chapters at all.

What do you do when your Christian co-workers are pushing a fellow co-worker (who isn’t Christian) to go to church when he clearly doesn’t want to? Basically, he is Buddhist as well as his family and girlfriend. He went to the Baptist church a few times, but the second time they (the people in the church) kept pushing his girlfriend to join them, asking her if she’s been ‘saved’. He doesn’t want to go back, yet the others keep pushing, asking ‘why’.

I want to help him, but I’m not sure how. Advice?

Yeah, the right to free speech is only overridden by the right not to listen. Evangelism is unethical in the workplace, as well as harrasment. It sounds like an HR problem.

He said he’d handle it; that he’s used to it and he’ll just keep telling them he’s going to the Temple, but next time I’ll let him know that HR is an option if he feels he’s being harassed. Though I doubt he’ll do it, as he’s not the sort that’s gonna raise hell like that.

That said, I tried speaking out but I got called out because I not only snapped, but I apparently butted into a conversation that didn’t concern me.

I’ll see what I can do next time that happens. :3 I could distract them by deliberately doing something stupid like tip over a trash can. :p Or attempt to take out the trash acting like it’s something we’ve always done. This, I can easily do.

That said, I did tell him he’s not obligated to explain why, or indeed say anything. He doesn’t want to go back, he doesn’t want to go back. I even said, “As an Episcopal, I suggest you go back to your family to the Temple” as he clearly isn’t comfortable at the church.

I don't think you can reason with sanctimonious pricks like that, and he certainly doesn't owe them any sort of explanation. He doesn't owe them any courtesy, either. If it were me, I'd tell them I wasn't interested once, then I'd just repeat the following every time they brought it up: 'Fuck your God, fuck Jesus. and fuck you.' Say it often enough, they'll get the message.

You tell your Christian co-workers that God gave us free will. And without free will we can't choose the mercy God is willing to give us.

And you tell them that they should not insult God by pushing they own agendas and time tables above Gods agendas and time tables.

And you tell them that if they steal this poor guys possibility to choose by manipulating and oppressing, it is sin against God given order of things.

You tell them that they should lear proper biblical attitude about how to deal with wordly people and things.

You tell them that they can start by reading David Pawson's book Unlock the Bibble so that they start to understand Bibble, God, Jesus and Holy Ghost better. And they should read it with Bibble, checking everything Pawson tells from their own Bibbles. And they should have proper Bibblical Atlas (Paul Lawrences book is good enough) in their reach while they read so that their understanding and knowledge about both things in the past but also in future become more clear to them.

And you tell them that these words are from wise Chiristian brother from Finland and they should check from Bibble that are these words ok or not.

And you tell them to learn from their mistakes.

These are Trump supporting rednecks. Anyone who isn't a white Christian American are considered not saved by them.

The mere idea they could read anything else other than the Bible is laughable at best.
