Repaired old git returning to the effort

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by Tristan's Opa, Nov 7, 2022.

A few people spent some time repairing this old chassis and are now putting on some final touches. This has allowed me to return to my crude effort to write my evisioned story.

My past experience was pretty nice and folks were generally, (bruttally) helpful for the most part. The few who suggested I should try food service may yield better results, are correct. I do provide meals for a few seniors who are unable to cook.... and I cook very well. Nonetheless, I have returned, repaired and girded up to make another attempt at my crazy story. I am in the process of trimming.... with a machete, to try an take out the fantasy part and adhere to scifi. With a deep historical twist.

So thanks to all who assisted me in the past and I'm looking forward to meeting new people. I can and will do a few reads as well. Keep in mind I am far from an english major and can't really tell you what an adverb or pronoun is.... or the order they should appear. ;)

Best wishes to all in their endevour!

I stopped writing for 45 years and just started seriously writing 8 years ago. I owe a lot of my growth to this forum, so welcome from another old-timer.

    Welcome back!

Can I ask, why are you removing the fantasy from your sci-fi? Is it to appease genre expectations from potential customers, or a personal choice?

Yes, in German and a few other languages. We used it to identify the two grandfathers when the kids were young.
