Ruined. By M.C. Frank. I am not a big romance reader because most of them cannot capture my heart. So this is all I got. After I read that I was blown away and I fell in love with the characters and the stroy. I'm a sucker for a good romance but I cannot deal with the: His giant muscles glinted in the glow of the moonlight and his deep male alpha sent made her panties wet. As soon as I read a line like that I close the book because in my eyes lust does not = romance
Find someone who looks at you the way Sam looks at Frodo and you shall be blessed above any of the Maiar or Ainur.
As much as I hate to admit this... Spoiler I kinda liked the off color Romance in Bet Me. (You didn't see this, and this message will self destruct in 5 seconds.
The Vampire Lestat, by Anne Rice Spoiler I've never seen a character so totally and thoroughly smitten as Lestat was... Spoiler ...with himself
Mhmmm... Interesting question if I am specifically narrowing down to things I have read. Since I have not actually read any romance novels specifically, and I am not including side-romance plot-lines in novels, books or stories like LOTR which are not specifically romance. it limits me quite significantly Therefore, I would have to say the best that fits under that definitions is the Laxdaela Saga, a icelandic saga about the tale of two friends whom both vie over Gourun. I would not say, however, that this is a "happy" type of romance. It pretty much ends badly all-way round.
I have to be honest when I first read that book years ago I didn't understand half of what it was talking about (I probably still wont if I read it now) but it had me crying at the end.
I 'member this film. For me, it was a fantasy about my affair with her brother, Doug Whitmore. I 100% acknowledge that he's 100% a proto-douchebag in this film, but at the same time, there's a guilty pleasure in the idea of sacking up with the little d-bag of a dude. Memories of more than one night spent deep in the bowels of ΠΚΑ at U.F....
