(Game) What Does My Favorite Author Say About Me?

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Lone Wanderer, Jun 29, 2019.

Simple enough, you make an assumption about the above poster's personality, sense of humor, politics, life experiences, etc, based solely on who they say is their favorite author (or your 2nd favorite author if you really wanna go again). Light-hearted roasting is encouraged but don't be too mean just because someone has different tastes.

My favorite author is John Steinbeck, author of Of Mice and Men, East of Eden, In Dubious Battle, The Pearl, and Grapes of Wrath.

Didn't Steinbeck write Travels With Charley?
You are a down to Earth individual with convictions. Quiet at times, but the life of the party sometimes. You have a realistic outlook, but wouldn't mind winning the lottery! :D

My favorite author is Piers Anthony, and you better look deeper than just his pop stuff. :p

You need a more literary approach to science fiction, and I'd guess your own writing reflects this. That said, I'm
sure you also liked one of my favorite Anthony books: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/263407.Prostho_Plus

My favorite (living) author is James Lee Burke.

@Earp is a traditional man with traditional values, he likes his steak medium rare and he always takes his ten gallon hat off at the dinner table. His income is modest, he takes great care not to wear out his jeans which he's had since he met his wife of two decades at a line dancing competition.

I love Jeff Noon and Poppy Z. Brite, also Terry Pratchett. It's hard to choose one. Have a Google.

It was a pole dancing competition, but the rest is spot on.

It takes more than a bright spark to set the world on fire, but @Lolly Inkstain may just have started the small bang.

I hope that this will be a lesson to you not to go to fancy-dress balls as a mallard. If fewer people went about the place pretending to be mallards, this would be a better and sweeter world.

    Kage Baker or Joe Abercrombie.
