The person on the receiving end would kill him. can you see the mess of geese laying eggs. the noise of pipers piping. the maids a dancing in the mess the geese left. 5 gold rings would be nice but she would have to sell them to keep the animals fed. where would you put the pear trees for the partridge. It would also cost a fortune to the poor guy at todays prices. but it is a cute song until you have heard it way too many times in the season.
