I write because it is a way to conserve the fantasy / fiction worlds which come to my mind. Although it may sound strange, I never published anything so far. (Not exactly true, two fragments are online at my website, but that doesn't count.) Because the texts are too fragmented, too weird, too something. Or I'm too lazy to find the right channels. Or because I don't want to join the "Read my stuff!"-crowd. I write in German since this is my native language and the only one I know good enough to create readable texts. So, this forum is quite safe from my output Anyway, I feel the time has come to get into contact with other authors. My current project is larger than anything I've done before and I met new challenges. I am really curios to see what's going on here. Not sure if I can contribute so much. Of course I want feedback on my problems but I am aware that it is a matter of give-and-take. So let's find out...
There must have been a door there in the wall when I came in. Crazy. Well, it's good to find other people trapped here inside the wall! Welcome Willkommen! I'm descended from Germans, but speak and understand not one lengthycompoundword of it. Except for guten tag and gesundheit. and wilcommen.
Welcome! Funny, your avatar is the same picture as on a music video I like, link: Edit: Which after a quick search reveals to be a gargoyle from Notre Dame if I am not incorrect.
You perfectly right. I was deeply impressed by the architectural creativity when I visited Notre Dame. This stony guy somehow stood out between all the other creatures on the tower. It displays sort of philosophical calm while still being a creature of the dark realm. And I envy him for his wings and his great view of Paris I can well imagine him shaking and spreading his wings in dark, stormy nights.
I hope my post didn't sound completely insane. I assumed your "Is there anybody out there?" was a reference to the Pink Floyd song, so I responded in like kind. Of course the whole album is about insanity, so maybe sounding insane isn't such a bad thing in this case...
Any reply containing the word "wall" is perfectly sane in a thread with a title like this one. Yes, I got your point
