    Tech question

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by OurJud, Feb 12, 2021.

I’ve now cancelled by subscription to Sky, which means I’ve lost all the recording and playback features. However, I still have all the free-to-air channels and would like the ability to record programmes from these.

If I were to buy one of these hard driver recorders, could I simply come out of my Sky box and into the recorder, and then record the show?

I understand I wouldn’t have the ability to change channel while recording, like you can with a Sky subscription, but in principal would I be able to do as detailed?

If it has standard audio/video outputs in the back, it could be plugged directly into any DVD recorder, VCR, or HDD recorder with A/V inputs.
