newbie wants to know how revisions are handled - critiques are posted so that writers can take comments into account, or ignore them, when having a second or seventh look at what they have posted. what is the approach to posting revisions on the poetry board? can one add a revision at the head of the original posting? how are revisions handled.
Hi @athanimas, Critique is for your benefit and offered free of charge by someone who has taken the trouble to read and consider what you have posted. You don't have to like what you're told, but there is an expectation of good manners and at least thanking someone for their time, even if they say your work sucks (although such blunt critique is frowned upon and would generally result in some kind of sanction) The forum rules are that work is not spread across multiple threads, so if you do decide to post a revision, and many do, it should go in the same thread. Please edit your postings so that all superseded versions are clearly marked as such so that future critters don't waste their time contemplating something that is no longer relevant, but please leave the original versions intact so that the thread makes sense. Try to avoid too-frequent revisions based on individual opinions - one crit may say one thing which is completely opposed in another, remember these are individual opinions of your work and you are looking for a balance.
