Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Torana, Dec 1, 2009.

It is now December 1st, so Christmas is now only 24 days away.

So lets get the Christmas Spirit going here on writing forums and post up pics of your Christmas tree and anything else Christmas related!

    Get those pics posted people.

    Sherie :D:D

This is our little man Tobin in his Christmas Stocking. For our family, Santa came early. He is so little that he fits into his stocking, which we thought was just adorable. hehehe! This was at 3 weeks of age btw

Tor, that is quite possible the most adorable thing I've ever seen!

I don't have any real holiday pictures yet, but I guess I can take a picture of me in the coat Joel's mom bought me for Christmas. She took us shopping for clothes on Sunday.

Sorry you can't see the coat very well...I had no one to take the picture for me.

Christmas? I'm in the far north of Gaelic Britain, I don't celebrate Christmas - at least not to the extent where I'd bother taking photographs ;)

I'll take some pictures of the Hogmanay celebrations, though.

    Your living room is beautiful!

I hope my family hasn't put up their tree yet...I want to go over and help decorate it. Joel and his mom don't decorate for the holidays. :(

Roosevelt and Truman, I like that. Have you gone up the line (Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, etc)? :)

thanks hidden :D I did alot of it since my mom is still on crutches, the mantel was pretty much only me (partially because it's my job to decorate it in general lol)

@gigi lol well they came prenamed, so we're not going up the line. Both the names really fit them though so we kept them, though generally I call Roosevely baby or ro-man lol (he's my kitty :D)

I do. I get one from my parents, and then my dad's side of the family does a big secret santa type thing, and I get an ornament from that, too.

Edit: Thanks, Jon. :) My home is actually my mother-in-law's home, so I guess the quality of the home doesn't really reflect on me, but I do my best to make it look all cool n stuff. Decorating for Christmas was tons of fun. We didn't do much last year, so I was very excited to put up a tree this year.

    thanks Jon :D

my mom does the same thing for my brother and I
her mom did it for her and she passed the tradition on to us
and they always speak to her for some reason or another so they are all special, makes it hard to have favorites lol

but it's one of my favorite traditions :D

I'll try to get a couple pictures of some of mine

You should! I love ornaments. :) It's one of my favorite traditions, too. Joel kept laughing at me because I would pull one out and go "oh my god, this is the ornament that I got..."

    Good!

I was going to post pictures of my demolished Christmas tree (I broke it), but then I decided that's a little depressing...

Welll...while Joel and I were sick, his mom folded out the couch bed so we wouldn't be stuck in our room for three days. To do so, she had to move the tree, and one of the legs holding it up cracked. Then after I started feeling better, I tried to fix it. Somehow I ended up cracking another leg instead, at which point the tree fell over on top of me...

    it wasn't pretty.

I did. That was the bright side that I found of the tree falling apart...none of my ornaments broke. Whew!

    We got a new tree!

And here is the new ornament that I bought for me and Joel. It's a snow woman and a snowman, across the top it says "together forever" and underneath the snow people, there's a heart that says "Joel and Heather" :D

Pretend that I'm not wearing huge clothes that clash horribly. We were going to the gym when I got distracted by tree decorating.
