    Dictionary App

Discussion in 'Writing Software and Hardware' started by Nomad416, Mar 13, 2025.

Is there a dictionary app that I can download for PC? I've searched, but the only one I found is on Microsoft's website, but for some weird reason, I can't download it even though it's free. It's a little annoying having to open a web page to look a word up.

I use WordWeb on my offline writing laptop. It will ask you if you fly more than twice in a year, and if you answer more, then you will need to use the paid version. Just something to keep in mind.

WordWeb is pretty excellent, you can look up words and similar words, and synonyms. So if you have something on the tip of your tongue, you can search for something related and the word you want to use will usually show up.

Been using it for more than ten years now without hiccup. But I also never fly.

I'll try it. Can never have too many tools.
