    Word (for Windows) question

Discussion in 'Writing Software and Hardware' started by SapereAude, Jan 19, 2022.

Reviewing a recently created document, I noticed that when set for left justification the right margin was rather ragged. As I looked into this, I realized that automatic hyphenation wasn't turned on. Thanks to the miracle of the Internet I was able to learn how to activate it on a document by document basis, but I would like to enable it as the default setting.

Does anyone know if that's possible? If so, how do I accomplish that task?

    Thanks.

I hope I'm wrong, but it does not seem possible to enable automatic hyphenation as the default setting. To get around that, I have created a set of templates for books in various trim sizes, with automatic hyphenation enabled in each of the templates.
