    PC or Laptop Roll Call

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Christina58, Mar 9, 2018.

I am currently using a PC to write, I like a large keyboard and a large screen. I sign of getting old maybe :p

Do you use a PC or a laptop to write?

I use Macs in assorted sizes, configurations, portabilities, etc.

At last count we had seven at the house, to include an iMac, a Mac Mini, and various flavors of MPBs.

Yeah...my first draft is almost always fountain pen on paper. Then, when it is time to engage electronic technology, I use the Macbook :)

Depends on where I am, and what I'm writing. I use a combo of desktop, 2 laptops, ipad, phone plus keyboard, and paper & pen. Edited to add: If there's an interview involved, a micro cassette recorder comes into play as well (superstition--gives me luck).

I use a laptop but when I'm in my office I hook it up to a larger monitor and use a wireless keyboard so it essentially functions as a desktop.

I use either my HP laptop or my iPhone. (I currently use Pages and work in iCloud on the laptop)
Should be getting a MacBook eventually.

I like laptops as you can take them anywhere, sit in bed, sit on the porch, sit on the grass outside.

I write on my desktop when I'm at home, and my laptop when I'm travelling (or when it happens to be hooked up to the peripherals; my laptop is also my designated Art Machine). I occasionally write a few pages in my notebook, though I reserve that mostly for worldbuilding and other behind-the-scenes stuff. When I don't have anything else handy, I jot things down on my phone.

Typically, I use my desktop rig hooked up to my 55" Samsung in the living room during the day when the kids are in school and my laptop on weekends or in the evening. The big screen is just more comfortable to read.

Though I have used my phone a few times to revise stuff while sitting bored in a waiting room.

A laptop. It's convenient for me and currently suits my needs. In the future, I plan to get a desktop.
