HELP!!! Do you know this story?

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by dan kelly, Sep 9, 2008.

When I was around 5 years old (25 yrs ago) I saw a stop motion animated childrens story. It was pretty dark, actually, I dont even know if I was suppose to be watching it. It went like so:
An older man wandered the streets of an old village in what looked to be somewhere in Europe. He would look for children that were up beyond thier bedtime and turn them into rats. Then he put them in a big sack that he carried on his hunch back. I cant quite remember if the children were doing other mischievous things, but I do remember at least one of them was still up when he wasnt suppose to be.

    Anyone???

Sorry, not a clue. I suppose it could be a twist on the Pied Piper story, but a quick search turned up zilch.

I have never heard of it, sorry Dan Kelly, although it does sound like the sort of thing Tim Burton would do. He has two start stop animations out as far as I know, The Nightmare Before Christmas and The Corpse Bride, both musicals and fantastic. If you are interested in start stop animation, I would recommened these films.

Sounds creepy. Stop motion can be very creepy.
