Hello all! Stumbled across this forum while trying to do some research for my fantasy novel and liked the cut of its jib, so thought I'd jump in and see what it's all about. I'm looking forward to chatting with others who don't get bored of hearing about writing, novels and all that good stuff - my friends and family could use a break. A quick getting to know you question: What are your favourite genres and authors to read? My genres are Fantasy & Sci-Fi, and my authors are Joe Abercrombie, Dan Abnett and, of course, J.R.R Tolkien.
Glad to see you on this forum. My favorite genre to read is science fiction, also alternative history and historical fiction set in cool exotic places such s ancient Rome or ancient China. I've read many great books by John Maddox Roberts and Lyon Sprague de Camp, but there are lots of really good authors. I love chatting about writing, novels and all that good stuff.
Welcome aboard. I love historical fiction, but that's not all I write. There are a lot of fantasy and sci-fi writers here and I'm sure they will be glad to have you.
Always happy to have another fantasy/sci fi author around. Good to know the jib is still sharp. Ah, I see you too are a man of culture. I've read a few of his WH40k novels. Quite good. Just started playing Alien Isolation last week and learned he's one of its writers.
