Hey, folks and folkettes. New-wish writer with a doctorate in Neophytism. Also have Stage 4 Perfectionitist. Decided to join to see if I can cure what ails me and challenge myself. I largely focus on action-oriented fantasy/soft-scifi/space opera in the old pulp vein. And laugh at the boundaries of what is called genre. Not quite, but I've close to finishing an outline for one. Storyline is: "A Dark Messiah who defies his fate must reclaim his soul before it's too late." It's a dark fantasy novel of a world condemned into a purgatorial state, in which some of humanity seeks its redemption from the judgment to come. The protagonist is a young man raised by a Secret Society hoping to use him for a darker purpose. As described, after learning their true nature he's stripped of his soul that is then placed into a Godstone to be used for an unknown goal. He must journey after them through lands of faith or hedonism, all the while evading infernal gods and spirits seeking to possess his now-empty vessel.
