okay folks, so quick question. Looking at this image below, what are your impressions of this character?
She definitely looks like she has a lot of sass about her! She could hold her own in whatever situation she's faced with.
She looks like one of those new-age hippy types! At least that's what the necklace and the headband remind me of. But that expression she's got makes me think "Umm, are you kidding?" which makes me feel like she might not be a nice person.
Depends on the time period: If this is a person living now, then I get the type of person who believes in magic rocks, pyramid power, and voodoo. She won't eat GMOs because it's "unnatural" but will take LSD from a stranger at Burning Man. She probably also believes that vaccine causes autism. If this takes place in the 1960s, this looks like every other teenage girl. The wagon wheel and hair-do is 100% Grace Slick:
thanks for all the responses guys. Keep em comin'. For myself, I originally thought 1980s. But having thought about it, she does like more 1960s, then 1980s.
Am looking for a few name suggestions for this character. I have a few in my head but I'd like to hear what you guys think. thanks
Amy Winehouse, new age witch/hippie is the vibe I'm getting. I'd say any name you associate with the crystal witch incense people of the nineties and early 2000's. Gemstone names, Jade, Amethyst, Ruby, maybe Jenny or Cassandra, Molly, Phoebe, Tamsin or Amber. Rene, Rebecca, Stephanie or Stephania
Either a Jewish mom (like from South Park); a Gypsy; or in general a middle-aged woman who is not really interesting but may be comical (like someone from a New York-based sitcom). She looks bothered and inclined to tell someone she's bothered (whether that be rudely to strangers or appropriately to the cause is unclear). The big hair and poor figure implies both age and mild exoticism. Somebody who would easily disappear into the background because their type is common--though some might spot them quickly because they can be amusing (like Sheila Brofloffski) or ignore them because they might be annoying instead (potentially also Sheila Brofloffski depending on whether you find her character amusing-as-intended or falling flat).
Shannon Goldstein--or really any New York mixed with Jewish sounding name, as she fits a sort-of stereotype.
The hairstyle and facial expression says it all. She one of the Real Housewives of _____. Her clothes are actually haute couture retro by one of the Hollywood a-lister designers.
thanks for all the responses. Just one further question. What's the best way to describe the feeling of the fabric she's wearing? I'm thinking cotton or wool fabric.
She looks a bit crazy. Weird dress sense, with amy wine house hair. Not someone I'd be scared of but someone I wouldn't trust. She looks a bit bitchy to me. Good drawing though.
