Hi all. Just joined the site. I'm a traditionally published author with a series out, and have just completed a duology which I'm hoping to submit soon. Hoping to gain and offer feedback. I write mainly romance, most sub-genres, and contemporary fiction. Hoping to make some friends, and gain critique partners, in the same genre, if possible.
Hi @SophiaWrites , welcome to the forum! It's great that you're already published, and have some experience under your bolt, I still have some ways to go before I get there and the same can be said for many others on this forum. We do have quite a few who are published writers as well here on the forum, makes for a great and diverse mix. I'm a fantasy writer myself first and foremost, though I fully plan to try my hand in other genres too at some point. As far as critiquing goes, we have a great workshop section here where you can post your pieces for critique as well as critiquing others' works but there are some requirements you need to meet first before you can post there - You need to be a member for 14 days, have at least 20 post, and then for every piece you put up in the workshop you need to offer 2 constructive critiques. Anyway best of luck and hope you like it here .
Thanks so much. By 20 posts, do you mean I have to reply / give feedback 20 times, or write 20 new threads?
Hi. Welcome. Since I sort of gave you the same info as FernandoC in your other thread I thought I'd pop in here too. Post means both new ones and replies. So you asking this took you one step closer to the workshop!
Welcome Sophia, If you look under your Avatar and name, you will see Messages: 7 (at the time of me posting this you have 7). You need to get this number to 20 by making threads, replying to other topics, or by doing critiques; the choice is yours. You need to be a member for 14 before posting something in the workshop, and you need to have written two critiques before posting anything in the workshop. I wish you the best of luck. -OJB.
