New Kid on the Block

Hey everyone, Quixotic here!

It's been a long while since I signed up to join a writing community. The last haunt I frequented is now a wasteland overrun by bots and overseas spammers. Which sucks, as I left the site and was called away to young adulthood, I hoped to return and get back to chatting up old friends, write more short stories, and grow as a writer. Alas, Fate had other plans.

(Or, the site admins gave up on maintaining the site. Take your pick.)

Now, however, I find myself itching to get back to writing and engage in a writing community. So, I found this site and promptly made an account. I'm becoming more familiar with the place, and I might occasionally trip, but I look forward to getting to know the community, learning from other writers, maybe make some friends, and just have plain old fun.

So, here's to it!

Welcome! What kind of writing are you most interesting in? Short stories, but... genre?

I should've mentioned in the OP, but I don't write short stories anymore. Well, not at the moment. I'm now writing fanfiction, which I hope isn't looked down around here.

There are always some anti-fanfic snobs, but I think most people are good with it. What fandom(s) are you in?

 

Yeah, I'm aware of the reputation surrounding the hobby, but thankfully I haven't come across anti-fanfic snobs (as you eloquently name them.) I'm only in one fandom, which is the Elder Scrolls, a fantasy RPG franchise. Been a big fan for some years now.
