Hello, just a little bit before I get into the issue I’m having. I published a book through KDP in 2023 and it became quite a smooth process after I received help from other authors regarding the template. Originally, I had planned on just writing on a docx file and later on asked someone if they can transfer it over to KDP template since it’s required in order to publish books on there. After I received help from my author friend, he sent me the KDP template in case I wanted to use it again in the future. Now, I’m attempting to write the early pages of my second book on the KDP template but it keeps doing this annoying thing where it would skip an entire half of a page every time I would press the return button. It’s supposed to be only double spaced so why is it skipping full pages just to start another paragraph? I really wanna write this on a KDP template because I wouldn’t have to bother anyone when it comes to getting it published but if need be, I’ll write it on the docx file and offer money to get it .
