    Newbie here

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by Darkless, Jan 30, 2017.

Hi, fellow writers. I am new. My love for writing brought me here. I specialize in the mythology/fantasy genres, but really, I could write just about anything. Anyways, I am glad to have joined, for this place seems cool. I hope to make many friends.

    Welcome!! :-D
Just curious, what kind of mythology/fantasy do you write? Because I love books about greek and egyptian mythology, and a family member of mine is very into dragons and quests and all that. Both mythology / fantasy, but both very different. So I'm curious what kind you write.

Thanks! Feeling at home already. :)

As to your question: Norse mythology. That's what I have worked with so far. I know bits about of all these other mythologies, but Norse mythology is where it's at for me. Thor, Odin, Sif, Loki, Hel, Freya, Surtr, etc. I love those guys. ;) Oh but I like mixing it a bit, so in one series I have going, I use characters from Greek mythology as well, not all, just a few. When it comes to writing, anything goes, you are free to let your imagination run wild.

The fantasy stuff I write about, it can be said that more than half of what I use is my own created stuff; the world, the deities, some of the races, etc.

I have to admit, I don't know much about Norse mythology. For me, Thor is Chris Hemsworth, and Loki is Tom Hiddleston. :bigtongue:
But if you are going to post some of your writing on here, I would love to read it. I always find those kind of stories very interesting to read!

Haha, I see. Those were good movies, I'm still waiting for the next one. At least you know that Thor uses a hammer, and that Loki is not really his brother, just some Jotnar Odin took in as his son.
Sure, I'll share a little something in regards to Norse Mythology.
Why thank you! You're very kind. :)
