I don't know why but I get Andy Garcia and Al Pacino mixed up.

Also Sandra Bullock and Julia Roberts.

I always call Helen Hunt "Laura Dern" until I google her. I had to google "Mad About You" cast to remember her name now.

 

I'm so divorced from pop culture I don't think I know enough actors/actresses by name to mix them up.

I do however sometimes mix up rock bands. I was at the bar the other night when the cover band started playing a song I really liked back in the day.

"I miss Alice in Chains," says I.

My friend gives me a look. "That's Stone Temple Pilots, dude," he says.

I have trouble telling Martin Sheen and Charlie Sheen apart when they appear as young men. I mistook Martin Sheen for Charley Sheen in the film Young Guns.

 

I always mix the special effects expert who portrayed the dog of Martin in tv series Frazier



and that cute and intelligent dog Jamie Hyneman who co hosted Mythbusters.




How can anyone tell which is which?

 

Not so much a pair of actors but an actor and a role another actor portrayed.
