My new friend on the forums: Hey there, IJustGottaWrite! Welcome to the forums! It's so nice to meet you. It's so nice. I can see your intro is a little different from the typical format, but I'm still happy to greet you and and be open to a different-kinda-waya-doing-things. Me: Wow, thank you so much! I really appreciate that, my new friend on the forums! MNFF: Hey, you're welcome! Any time, buddy! I know we'll be friends for a lifetime! I wasn't going to admit this, but I'm actually crying right now. Actual tears. Just of joy. Me: Me too. I love you. I've never met you and may never meet you, but—I love you. MNFF: Same here. Same here. :')

(As in what genre/style poetry)
Why thank you, J.T. Woody! What a nice, totally unsolicited reply! L + O + L! Oh, I like to write this 'n' that! Ya know. Just write around the place. I enjoy a good metered poem, "traditional verse," but also... a little different approach. I will be posting one of my poems here shortly.
Hi dude(hope you don't mind, everyone is a dude in the internet to me until you say otherwise), I really liked your poetry analysis already and hopefully I can learn more from you about poetry in general as you seem to have a good ear/eye.
Great intro and (belated) welcome to the forum. While poetry critique is generally outside my comfort zone, I look forward to reading your work. Almost as much as I look forward to seeing your critique of your own work! More seriously, the poets here seem well geared towards supportive and useful feedback. I do hope to see your poetry and that you get something useful from the workshop.
Hey bro! If you wish to call me "dude," you may, but I am, in fact, female! I still don't mind being called "dude," though; seems kinda fun. Thank you kindly for that! Hopefully I can be helpful in that regard. There are a few things I know—but I'm always learning. Thank you kindly, B.E. Nugent! I've spent more time critiquing poetry than any other "genre" of writing, probably what I'm most comfortable attempting to critique. Oh, you'll get to read it, friend! It may not be what you expect. Only time will tell. That is good to know. Still getting acclimated to the forums and where to post. I guess the workshop is where "a poem in need of critique / feedback" would go? ---------------------------------------------- Thanks for the replies! I finally got the attention—I mean, greetings I was looking for!
I won't hold you being female against you dude. And don't worry about attention seeking; writing is the biggest form of attention seeking there is- "look at me, isn't my ideas cool?" At least it seems that way to me, so you'll fit right in.
Hey, thanks, bro! Wouldn't that be a nice change of pace? Oh, that is true. Good point. Glad to be in good company, but we'll definitely see how things unfold.
