I used Pages when I first got a Mac. A mail merge macro I found useful for firing volleys at Congress got left behind in a Pages update, I switched first to Nisus, then to Mellel, and never looked back. A recent William Gallagher Youtube video thumbnailed making ebooks with Pages. It's free and it will make ebooks, so kudos to Apple for maintaining it. Is Pages a worthy first-choice tool? Anybody here use it? I know it's got one great feature to set a writer's heart aglow. It's not Word. On a side note, William Gallagher is a Dr. Who scriptwriter, raconteur, and gentleman of the highest order. His Youtube channel, 58 Keys, is always entertaining and informative.
Some people uses Pages for writing. Suppose it depends on the person. BTW, the web version of Pages is available on any web browser - for any device or platform, of course. And the web version is the same as the Mac installed version. I use Word, but it has the features I want in organizing my writing. Pages may have it, will have to check it out again sometime.
