Hello, my username is Delusionist. I try to write good fantasy stories, but they are often bad. My writing stats: Effort: 10/10 Talent: 2/10 Perseverance: 8/10 Splelling: 6/10 Grammar: 4/10 (were 3/10 now are 4) Punctuation: 3;10 Appeal: 4/10 Mystery: ?/10 Wow factor: 3/10 Story: The number 6 gently pressed up against the diagonal line while the number 10 looked on from the other side. Destiny had brought them together at last, but now an insurmountable devide - stoic and slanted, kept them apart... 6/10 Listing unnecessary and meaningless stats: 11/10 The End.
Hello, Love the name and mini introduction. I can't recall a time I've seen anyone using stats to describe their writing talent, a fun and intriguing start on the forum to be sure. I also love a good fantasy, to read as well as to write, anything is possible with them. You're not alone in thinking your stories aren't always great, but it's usually nothing a little sprucing up can't cure and what these forums are here for. Welcome to the forums, look forward to seeing you around.
Hello @Delusionist, I agree with @Naja Noir in that you have a great username, but I feel you have missed one key element of writing off your list. Let me add this in for you:
Hello and welcome Delusionist - I really like you profile pic! and your creative intro, too! Glad you've joined us. Looking forward to seeing you in the forums!
Hello and welcome to WF.org, @Delusionist! Don't put yourself down. We are often our own worst critics. Readers can often see things that you don't realise about your writing, so judge it on how your readers receive it. And if you're looking to improve, this is the right place. Get stuck in, ask questions, answer them, and don't be afraid. No one here will judge you - we were all beginners at one time or another. And remember this - a flowery turn of phrase does not, in itself, good writing make!
