Can't think of the right word

Discussion in 'Word Mechanics' started by Aprella, May 20, 2013.

I'm so annoyed by this and I'm so desperate that I'm going to ask it here. Not so long ago i read the perfect word to describe the face of a person who he lost quite some weight and didn't look very healthy... but now I cannot recall it any more and I have been trying to find it in the book again but with no success. The only word I can think of is hollow... though it's not what I am looking for!

Can someone help me? I'll send you virtual cookies and hugs!

It happens to me all the time. Usually I recall the word just as I'm ready to nod off to sleep. :)

cachexic, esp when specifically referring to emaciation due to disease.

Hahaha that could be very annoying I think :p Sometimes I don't know a word in Dutch (1st language) but I know what it is in English... very annoying.

It hasn't anything to do with disease, thanks anyway for extending my vocabulary :D
