Hi Everyone, I am in the process of designing a personal author website and I want to do it right from the beginning. (or at lest make the least amount of rookie mistakes as possible) I thought this community is a good place to start asking questions. This is actually a two part question that I'm hoping will generate a good discussion. (especially for those who already host personal author websites) 1. What platform do you use? (do you manage a Wordpress with an author template or did you build your website from scratch by yourself? What benefits does this provide you with and what are the shortcomings? Costs involved? How much time did you spend implementing it and learning about the setup?) 2. How did you design your website? (Do you provide only the basic info like your author bio and homepage with the news or did you go an extra mile and provide some extra features like reader interaction features? How much reader engagement are you getting from your website?) Any examples of your author website will be much appreciated!
