I had a rural property 45 years ago and a neighbour's dog kept breaking through our fence and scaring our three-year-old in her sandbox. One day when she was at pre-school the dog got in and I shot it and buried it. I am working on the second volume of my memoir published by a major Canadian house in April and I wonder if I can face any legal consequences if the owner ever reads my second book (if it is even accepted by the publisher.) Bear in mind that this is in Canada. We are not anywhere close to being as litigious as citizens of the U.S.A.
I’m sure you’ve mentioned this before that aside talk to a lawyer no one here is versed in Canadian law to give you an answer I will say that if I was your neighbour and I read that you’d be getting a punch in the teeth so you may want to construe societal ramifications as well as the legal ones
