    Disney movie anyone?

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by freeflow, Aug 28, 2009.

I know as kids everyone had a Disney movie that was their absolute favorite. Well, most of us did. What's your favorite?

Or even if it was not Disney, what is your favorite kid movie?

    Mine?
The Lion King. I used to cry every time Mufasa died. Is that how you spell it? I'm horrible at spell the names.

Oh god, I still have all of my Disney VHS movies in the plastic cases. If I have a night to myself, I pop one in and get all nostalgic.

My favorite has always been Sleeping Beauty, but there's so many other good ones.

I'm also a lover of Sleeping Beauty.

What about The Little Mermaid? Love it.
I'm pretty sure I still have them all on VHS. I want them all on DVD though.

Haha, yes! The Little Mermaid was the first movie I ever saw in theaters. As a little girl, I would go swimming and twine my legs together and pretend I was a mermaid. I think my biggest aspiration in life at that time was to become a mermaid.

I had this Disney movie which was like a collection of Halloween-themed short animations, featuring Goofy, Mickey and Donald. That, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Peter Pan is my favorite. LOVE IT.

One year for Halloween, I dressed up as Wendy, my sisters dressed up as Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, and two of my brothers dressed up as John and Michael. Cutest thing ever.

Im gonna have to go with the Lon King. Such a wonderful movie when you're young! I'd give a close second to Aladin.

I have something of a soft spot for Toy Story, since it was the first film I ever saw at the cinema.

I used to read "Bambi" when I was a child, I had a nice book with beautiful pictures I loved (I think most children love little animals) and sometimes I even tried to copy those pictures and paint them. I think my mum still keeps them somewhere. And "The Lion King" was probably one of the movies which I watched very often in my childhood.

Beauty and the Beast is amazing, it's one of the very few movies that still reduce me to intermittent sobs.

With that said, other favourites include Sword in the Stone and the Little Mermaid.

Oh and Mary Poppins, although I haven't seen it for a very long time.

I really love the Disney/Pixar movies. They can do no wrong. :D Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Cars, UP, Wall-E.......every movie they make is pure brilliance. They can throw out any idea and instantly be showered with Oscars.

The Lion King - hands down. I have giant, plush versions of Pumba and Timon. :D

I think The Emperor's New Groove is a little underrated, too - that has some of the funniest one-liners from a Disney movie.
