    Setting help

Discussion in 'Setting Development' started by Tygress, Oct 26, 2012.

I am planning out a new story, and I am kind of stumped about what time setting the story should take place. I'd like to find out around what point in the last 100 years were Tigers hunted excessively for fur/meat whatever they wanted out of them. If anybody could help me find information on this I'd really appreciate it. I've began research but it's not very clear and I still have to do more looking around, but if someone comes across something that can help me, please let me know.
    Keep the spark lit!

Wiki suggests that early-mid 1900's India was a popular time for tiger hunting, the hunter Jim Corbett was active 1907-1938 so maybe look at that timeframe? Otherwise, early 1900's Russia, although that seems to be more hunting by armies than for recreation but it still might be worth looking at?
