For anyone who has purchased an older version of Randy Ingermanson's software, or just purchased his book on the snowflake method. It seems we are on the honor method, for obtaining the download. I bought the kindle version and had no problem with the download of the software. Ingermanson gives his reasons in the link below: Download Snowflake Pro Again | Advanced Fiction Writing Apparently, he is now using Plottr, and wants to simplify his life.
Ha, thanks for linking this! I vouch for this book being excellent. It's so silly and harmless in its presentation, but it really does work for plotting.
Thanks very much. I love the snowflake method (I use it for Scrivener) Am I the only one who is creeped out by the words "I'm Randy" beside his photograph?
LOL! "Randy" is a common North American diminutive for "Randall", and while we are aware of the term being used as an alternative for 'horney', we don't use it for that very much. I remember, back in the days of the dinosaur, and the Viet Nam war, guys named Randall who took R&R in Australia came back with accounts of chatting up women that ended in some embarrassment. I suspect the women were aware and having some fun at their expense.
Hope this isn't too much of a necro, but this thread just led me to look at Snowflake Pro. Looks like the last update for the Mac was for Catalina. I ended up downloading Plottr instead, because it will be getting updated when necessary. The lifetime license is $99. Playing around a little in the template. Liking it so far. Oh, I also just finished reading the Snowflake book.
