    Hey there!

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by HollieMarie, Jul 28, 2017.

My name is Hollie and obviously I'm new here. I'm currently working on a murder mystery based on true events. I take a lot of my inspiration from writers like Nora Roberts and Karin Slaughter, I enjoy reading just about anything though. I will also admit to being a huge Rick Riordan fan.

    Welcome sirette. :superhello:

Murder/Mysteries are interesting. I rather like
the Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwell, but
have read a few others from other authors.
More of a Horror and Sci-fi kinda guy thought. :p

    Good luck with your works.

I've took a stab at sci-fi a few times but it's hard to put my crazy thoughts into words. Being such a huge Rick Riordan fan I tried using Greek mythology as a catalyst but it just seemed hokey to me. I do like to include cults or conspiracy theories in my writing though.

@HollieMarie I have used a bit of Con-Theory to write my Sci-fi duology.
I am sorry Greek myth didn't work out, but try some other mythology like
    Egyptian or something.
I have the same trouble with Erotica, that you have with Sci-fi. :p

Haha any kind of erotic scene is hard to write. I get my sister to help me write those scenes. I asked my family to read through my current novel and to my horror my grandmother offered to read it. I just hope she skipped over those parts. Lol.

My family doesn't read my work.
When it comes to Erotica, I get help from the
    lovely people on here. :)
