Let's face it. I'm never gonna make it big in the movie world or write a The Omen prequel/sequel. So I decided to see if I can write an online short story about another character in the Unholy Trinity mentioned in The Omen:The False Prophet! Now I'm just not sure what I should write about his origins. Should I write about The False Prophet's college year tutelage in a cliche Satanic cult or one with fictional gods? (Although I would encourage anyone else who already has the idea before me to continue to write about it even though the original trilogy has ended. There's always space for a reboot or sequel to the new version if you're lucky)
They did a prequel recently about the mother. I think that was the premise. I didn't see it, but it reviewed surprisingly well. You really could write some good stories about some of the minions in the story. The nanny or other weird cultists.
Because dad's method isn't as evil as his imagined method? (Sorry,I confused people by not being specific enough that I was gonna try writing about the FP's college days and not the Antichrist's. I have already edited my first post. But this has made me think of a good idea, now I've thought of making the FP as The Antichrist's college classmate!)
That sounds like great fun! I think literally the first "novel" I read - I was 7 - was the novelization of Damien Omen II, which one of my older siblings had left around and I swiped (I'm sure I wasn't supposed to be reading this at that age, and I distinctly remember flipping forward for...the gore). I've always had this weird fascination with that sequel (however much it paled in comparison to the original - I love Jerry Goldsmith, the composer, but I kinda lol when the score goes all melodrama, and you know someone is about to die), and I think that kid who played Damien was one of the great evil boy king parts (along with Gladiator, Game of Thrones - Joffrey, I mean - and a few others).
