Thoughts on Jin Yong and Gu Long wuxia writers?

There are already two translated books like Legend of the Condor Heroes and Deer and the Cauldron. Deer and the Cauldron is well written but you'll find the "hero" doing things you wouldn't do.

I haven't read either author yet but I've been learning to read Chinese and I have a Chinese-language copy of Jin Yong's Flying Fox of Snowy Mountain on my bookshelf for when I'm a bit more fluent. Of course tons of movies and tv shows, of varying quality, have been made of both author's books.

I haven't read them, but I've watched TV series based on their work. I prefer Gu Long, simply because I'm a fan of Chor Lau Heung.
