Does anyone fancy reading and giving feedback on a short story? It's just shy of 7k words, has understated references to character's past trauma and some swear words in dialogue close to the end of the story. Anyone familiar with either the workshop or contests might have some idea of what to expect from what I write, and whether or not they want to reciprocate with something of theirs for feedback in return. Sure, why not. I'm trying to get more critique under my belt and I know the woes of wanting critique on longer works. I have no frame of reference for the types of work you write or the types of critique you provide so I'm willing to go in blind and see where the experience takes me
I'm happy to read your story if you don't mind receiving feedback around the end of May, which is when I'll have more time than I do these days.
Having received some very valuable feedback, with sincere thanks, I've arrived to a version I'm fairly happy to finish with, just in case someone trips into this thread and thinks it still live. I don't think I can close a thread, but if any mods are looking, this one's done and dusted.
