Hi there! I’m Lo (that's it. Just Lo) and I’m here because I have no idea what the hell I’m doing. I’m 29 and I’ve dealt with a lot of mental illness in my life- mainly anxiety and depression. And my hope is to write a memoir by the time I turn 30 at the end of January 2023. Writing has been my passion since I was about 10, it’s gotten me through some pretty tough times, and I want to share my story with others. (The deadline isn’t set in stone or anything, just more of a goal.) Like I said at the start- I have no idea what I’m doing. Right now I’m just writing as much as I can, but it’s getting difficult when I don’t know about planning, formatting, editing, etc. Is it even called a memoir? Is that the right title? I'm not putting myself down, I just KNOW NOTHING. Anyway, I welcome any and all advice, feedback, and words of wisdom. And I’d love to make a few friends along the way.
Welcome, Lo. Write first, edit later is always a good plan, and you've already figured that out. The rest will come with a bit of research and input from others.
Welcome @justLo. I hope you find encouragement on this forum. This was a good place for me as I went from being a victim to a warrior by writing and the help from forums like this.
