Hello fellow writers. It is so nice to have found these forums. I hope to get to know lots of people. I've only been here a few days and already have the experience very positive. Many thanks to everyone. I started a story way back in 1998 when I took novel writing classes and it is with great pleasure that I say I have finally been able to devote time to writing my masterpiece. I spend about 16 hours a day, a few times a month binge-writing when I get in the mood. The rest of my time is spend going over what I binged wrote. I am writing a seven-book series that is a mixture of fantasy and realistic fiction. The novels are written in such a way that you can choose which character to follow and thus get a different experience with each re-read with very little being the same part you have already read. It is a monumental undertaking that I have been trying to figure out how to write for over a decade. And I've finally figured most of it out. I think. Cheers to Everyone. I look forward to helping others.
Welcome to the forum lorinda! your ambition as a writer and your seven book series sounds very promising. Why not start a progress journal over here to keep up with your progress? You can also post excerpts if you want to share. As for the “helping others” part, other writers would appreciate if you would critique their work too. Even poetry. Also Don’t forget to read WF rules before you engage, there are a couple contests too that you may be able to take part in. There’s even a discussion where you can explain your profile pic and find out why others chose theirs! Whatever else you do just have fun.
Lorinda Woener, Glad you found us and decided to join in. Hope you make steady progress on your seven novel journey. Terry
