Call me Toad-Man. Some years ago—never mind how long precisely—I got into writing. I have never left. But alas, I live in a podunk starved for writers and creative people in general. Therefore, I am turning to this website, which was the top result for "online writer collaboration forum". This is not my first of the ancient BBCode threads, which I think are dope, but it's my first time trying to interact with other writing folk on the web. If you have made it this far... idk what to say, go touch grass.
I'm not sure what "go touch grass" means, but welcome here, Toad-Man. I do need to weed the garden, though, so out I go to pull grass.
If any of the monocotyledonous flowering plants commonly known as grasses want touching, they need to come to me. I refuse to bow to the whims of a patch of common weeds.
My first time trying to interact with other writing folk on the web also, But not sure what interaction should look like, smell like, taste like, or feel like. I guess starting with Hi is as good as any.
I Love sci fi, and especially like young Adult fantasy stuff like Harry Potter, or the Rangers Apprentice, I like it mostly because it is much easier to associate to a hero of the story if they are younger, Most of us at one time or another have actually been younger. Having a hero that is an older professor of electrical theory, may be very interesting to some people but not so much for others, I have thought about several book ideas but time has always been an issue, (Real world, Bills, Kids, stuff), but I am not that far from retiring and may be able to start doing some of the stuff I want to do. I have finished the first draft of my first book and am 10 chapters into my second book of a trilogy that I have thought about for years. Chronicles of the Fourth Planet. Toad-Man this is your thread, what do you like to write? I get a little talkative behind the keyboard, maybe it's the ten hours a day working alone as a garbage man. Sorry for that I will try to settle down a bit.
